• Space Shuttle Orbiter: The primary vehicle for spaceflight, responsible for carrying the crew and payload into orbit.
• External Tank (ET): Provides the liquid propellant (liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen) for the Space Shuttle Main Engines.
• Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs): Provide the initial thrust during launch, significantly contributing to liftoff.
• Payload: The cargo carried into space, ranging from satellites and scientific experiments to crew members and equipment.
• Mission Control Center (MCC): The ground-based control center responsible for monitoring and managing all aspects of the mission.
• Space Shuttle Main Engines (SSMEs): The three engines mounted on the orbiter that provide thrust once the SRBs are jettisoned.
• Crew: The astronauts responsible for operating the Shuttle and conducting experiments or deployments in space.
• Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS): Enables communication between the Shuttle and Mission Control throughout the mission.
