• Space Shuttle Orbiter: The primary spacecraft for crew transport and mission operations.
• External Tank (ET): Provides propellant (liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen) for the Space Shuttle's main engines.
• Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs): Provide the initial thrust for launch, significantly boosting the Space Shuttle into orbit.
• Mission Specialist's Equipment: Includes specialized tools, scientific instruments, and experiment hardware relevant to the mission's objectives.
• Space Shuttle Life Support System (ECLSS): Maintains a habitable environment inside the orbiter, providing oxygen, removing carbon dioxide, and regulating temperature and pressure.
• Crew Emergency Escape System (CEES): Critical safety systems for crew escape during launch or landing emergencies.
• Orbital Maneuvering System (OMS): Engines for in-space maneuvering, orbital adjustments, and de-orbiting.
• Remote Manipulator System (RMS) / Canadarm: Robotic arm for deploying and retrieving satellites and payloads.
